0ur Lodge is the largest in the Grand Domain of Virginia. We currently have over 350 Knights. We sponsor two weekly Bingo sessions, which provides the money that is donated to our community. In 2004, we donated almost $100,000.. Click here for a more complete listing of our charitable works. Fredericksburg Lodge # 22 meets every Thursday evening at 8 PM. Our chief money raising projects are two weekly Bingos, which we conduct at our hall on Sundays at 1 PM and Monday at 6:30. Money is also raised by renting our building and facilities, and by various other fund-raising activities The Lodge puts out a newsletter and sponsors a variety of social events and activities that reflect the interests of the Brothers. Our HistoryFredericksburg Lodge # 22 was founded in 1912. Its first Castle Hall was located on Caroline Street in Fredericksburg VA. Later it moved to another location on Caroline St where the lodge met until 1984 when they dedicated a new Castle Hall on Wallace Lane in Spotsylvania County. In 1981 the Fredericksburg Lodge # 22 was plague with the continuing loss of membership that has been so common in our Order. Realizing that radical steps needed to be made to interrupt and reverse this trend the Knights purchased a large lot on the outskirts of town, obtained a mortgage, drew up their own plans (originally on a brown paper bag) and began the work of constructing their new home. The Brothers did most of the physical work of building themselves. In 1984 they dedicated their modest new building consisting of a meeting room, a social/bingo hall, a small kitchen, and storage area. Since moving to the new Castle Hall, the Lodge's membership began to increase. It has increased every year thereafter. By 1988 the Lodge had earned enough to pay off their original mortgage. Since then, the building facility has been expanded three more times. It now includes ball fields, a large brick picnic pavilion, a beautiful basement lounge, clubroom, and game room, also an addition to the social room, and lots of office, computer, and storage space. Fredericksburg Lodge # 22 invites and Brothers who are passing through our area to stop by and visit our facilities. In 1984, we moved into our current castle. Over the past decade there have been many improvements and additions (pavilion, a new wing, and offices space).
