THE 7TH ANNUAL KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS MOTORCYCLE RIDE IN MEMORY OF BOBBY RIGGGS This year’s Bobby Riggs Memorial Ride held in Norfolk, VA on July 9th was one of the most successful ever. .It allowed Virginia’s Pythians to raise over $17,000 for The Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughter's in Norfolk. It took the cooperation and hard work of scores of Pythians Knights, Sisters, Sunshine Girls, and Junior Order Members from around the area. This year, Hooters partnered with the Pythians in sponsoring the affair. The run ended at a Hooters restaurant where riders ate lunch and relaxed after their ride. All workers were issued colorful shirts containing Hooters and the Pythian logos and listing all the ride’s many Sponsors |

Charity is very important to Virginia Pythians. The following donations were announced at the 2005 Grand Convention: Camp Holiday Trails over $25,000; C. F. over $6700; Pythian Care over $16,700; Scholarship Fund over 21,000 Individual lodges also donated over $100, 000 to local and national charitable causes |
