GRANDCHANCELLOR’S GOALS

 

1. MEMBERSHIP- Like all Pythians, I think it is important to increase our membership. But I think if we focus a little more on quality, then the quantity will follow.

 

2. COMMUNICATION- In order for our order to survive, it is essential that we communicate with one another. Whether it is by e-mail, letters, cards, newsletters, or phone calls, there is no reason why anyone in this order should not know what is going on at all times.

 

3. CHARITIES- As Pythians, one of the reasons we are here is to support our charities. We must continue to do so in the future.

 

4. PYTHIAN SISTERS- We must continue to support the Sisters as they have continued to support us. We can accomplish a lot more with their help.

 

5. VISITATION- Attend as many lodge meetings as possible. A fraternal visit would show support just as well as attending for an official visit or a function.

 

6. LODGE and TEMPLE FUNCTIONS- Support as many subordinate lodge and temple functions as possible as we are all working for the same cause.

 

7. JUNIOR ORDER and SUNSHINE GIRLS- Please support these two groups as they represent the future of our order.

 

8. RANK CLASSES- Attend and take part in a rank class. It will give you a sense of pride to bring someone into the order the same way that you were.

 

9. INACTIVE MEMBERS- Contact members who once were strong and active in the order. Send a letter, e-mail, card, or give a phone call. This single act of friendship may be enough to get them to become active again.

 

10. ENCOURAGEMENT- With all the negativity in the world today, we as Pythians should give a little encouragement to each other as often as possible. A little positivity can go a long way.

GRAND CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE

      In the years since I was elected Grand Outer Guard, there were times when I thought that this day would never come. Then there were other times when it seemed like the time went so fast, I missed it. Nevertheless, I am honored to begin my term as Grand Chancellor of the Grand Domain of Virginia.

      I would like to thank the Grand Lodge for electing me up through the chairs, so that I could achieve this position. I will do everything in my power to uphold the principles of this great order.

      I pledge my support to the Grand Temple and plan to work closely with our Grand Chief.

      I look forward to making my official visits this year, as well as attending functions and meeting new and old friends.
